Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in Bayonne, NJ
Coach Jason combines his experience in Boxing, Kickboxing, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to teach mixed martial arts, also known as MMA. MMA is primarily a sport but can be used for self defense, fitness, and cross training. It combined striking and grappling in a full contact sport.
Boxing is a big part of the program and is the foundation for which all other elements will be based on. Learning the fundamentals of your MMA striking includes boxing as a primary component.
Boxing combined with kickboxing completes your stand up MMA striking. You will learn the basics of using your legs to land strikes and defend yourself.
Grappling (Judo & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu)
The grappling component of the program is derived from Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Judo is the standing grappling art which uses trips and throws to get an opponent to the floor. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a grappling art that derives from the groundwork of Judo. Once you get an opponent to the floor you can control them and attempt submissions, sweeps, and other techniques.
